SKCHRA - 2011-2012 Scholarship Award

This scholarship, to be awarded by the South King County Human Resource Association (SKCHRA), is to assist a SKCHRA member, a SKCHRA member's spouse, son or daughter, or a South King County resident in furthering their career in human resources.
Applicants need to be either studying at an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university with the intent to work in the field of human resources. Or, they could currently be working in human resources and looking to further their knowledge of the profession either through an HR certification class ( such as for the PHR/SPHR/GPHR exam ) or through other HR classes.
One scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $1,000 for the 2011-2012 academic year.

The application must be completed and received by the Scholarship Committee at the above address NO LATER THAN March 31, 2011. Envelopes should be clearly marked "To the Scholarship Committee."
Applications are available on the SKCHRA website, in the chapter newsletter, at local colleges and universities or at monthly chapter meetings.
Tuition payments will be made directly to the educational institution or program provider. Cost of books will be reimbursed to the scholarship recipient, with proof of purchase.

- SKCHRA will award one scholarship in the amount of $1,000 for the 2011-2012 academic year on the basis of the following rules and information.
- Applicant must be a member, in the immediate family of a member of SKCHRA, or a South King County resident.
- Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited public or private college or university or in an HR class or study program recognized by the HR profession.
